SKY65017-70LF
Broadband InGaP cascadable gain block with 20 dB gain and +20 dBm P1dB from 0.1 to 6.0 GHz in a SOT-89 package.
The SKY65017-70LF is a Skyworks broadband InGaP cascadable amplifier that provides flat gain across a very wide frequency range, from 100 MHz to 6 GHz, in a small SOT-89 package. It is a general-purpose gain block designed to be dropped into a signal chain and cascaded when more gain is needed, so a designer can build up gain in stages without redesigning a matched amplifier for each stage. The device provides about 20 dB of gain and a 1 dB compression point of about +20 dBm at 2 GHz, with an internal bias network that allows operation from a single supply in the 4.5 to 6.0 volt range. Because the part is internally matched and stable, it is easy to use in applications where noise figure is not the first priority, such as intermediate gain stages, driver stages, and general-purpose RF and IF signal chains. Its broadband response makes it useful across multiple bands and in test and instrumentation equipment. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. BeiLuo holds this part in regional stock and our FAE team supports biasing, layout and stability checks.
FAE Professional Review
This gain block is a workhorse for general-purpose RF gain. It is broadband, internally matched and easy to bias, so it drops into a chain without a lot of design work, and it cascades cleanly when a single stage is not enough. It is not the lowest-noise option, so put a dedicated LNA first if sensitivity is the priority, and keep the grounding solid.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cascade several SKY65017-70LF stages?
Yes. The part is designed as a cascadable gain block, so multiple stages can be chained to reach the gain a system needs, with interstage matching kept simple.
Watch the cumulative noise figure and the total supply current as you add stages.
How is the device biased?
It uses an internal bias network and operates from a single supply between 4.5 and 6.0 volts, with an external inductor and decoupling as shown in the reference application.
Follow the reference bias network for stable operation.
